A Too-Long Introduction

Hello!

I would just jump right in and introduce myself to you, but that isn't my style. I like to wonder why I should do it, turn it around in my head. I do have to give you something so you can decide whether you enjoy my writing or not. Then again, I could leave you with a mysteriously blurry image of who I am or what this blog is about. The latter option might make you curious enough to stay and see what I throw at you. But that's not my style, either. I'm not a very mysterious person... and that's among the first things you should know about me.

From the above section, you might have deduced several things about my personality - and several of those deductions may be wrong. The written word can be a very good liar. For example, my knowledge of my own "style" may give the impression of self-assuredness and confidence (emphasis on impression). My lack of exclamation marks gives an air of stiffness and solemnity, but the bright-colored background counters this conclusion.

In reality, I'm not quite as gloomy as my writing makes me out to be. I think I'm just nervous because my other attempts at blogging have ended up in the area of my brain that suppresses embarrassing memories. But anyway, I said that I'm not a mysterious person and I should probably prove that to you!

1. I love writing, and I don't ever want to stop because it's the healing balm for my soul.
2. I also love music. I know many bands, singers, composers, etc., but among my favorites are Tessa Violet, Sara Bareilles, Dodie Clark, and Michael W. Smith.
3. I play three instruments (not very well), although I am learning a fourth and I hope to add a fifth to that list.
4. I speak two languages and I'm learning French. Je ne peux pas écrire une redaction, mais mon français est... comme ci, comme ça ;)
5. I daydream far too much, but I'm working on it!
6. I don't think I've read enough books in my lifetime, even though I've always been an bookworm. Reading is one of the things I hold closest to my heart.
7. I am an avid emoticon user. :) ;P XD
8. I tend to appear shy or reserved when I first meet someone (hence the annoyingly formal first two paragraphs), but I loosen up considerably over time.
9. I am a Seventh-day Adventist. I'll expand upon my faith in later posts!

I think the rest of me will be revealed in future writings. Thank you for reading, and until next time!
